Ludwig Supraphonic LM400 Snare Drum
This auction is for a piece of drumming history: a snare you've no doubt heard on countless studio and live recordings, and for good reason. This is the Ludwig Supraphonic 14"x5", circa 1993, made from seamless spun aluminium (called "Ludalloy" by Ludwig). This snare is in perfect condition, with absolutely no dents or blemishes on the shell (save the odd fingerprint!). It features the "Monroe" badge, and imperial lugs, with the P85 strainer and internal damper.

I have fitted the snare with a brand new Puresound Custom 16-strand strainer (worth about £25) which increased the sensitivity even more, and a result the snare is incredibly responsive and with the dry nature of the aluminium it needs very little done to it for it to give a very controlled, sensitive sound.
